Ethereal Whispers; Artistic Vision
Photography, at its most powerful, is an art form that freezes time, allowing us to linger on moments that would otherwise slip away unnoticed. With "Ethereal Whispers," I aim to distil the subtle and often overlooked nuances of life into visual poetry. Each photograph is an invitation to pause, reflect, and immerse oneself in the silent yet eloquent language of the present.
Each photograph tells a story that is felt rather than heard. The photographs are meant to evoke a sense of wonder, introspection, and peace. They invite the viewer to step into a moment of stillness, to sense the quiet, profound whisper of the present.
About me
Hi, I’m Karla Silvas, Photographer behind Ethereal Whispers 👋🏼 I’m Mexican and currently based in Amsterdam 🌼
As a child, I loved taking family portraits with our film camera. At 13, I got my first camera, a Samsung S1050 Point & Shoot, and my fascination with photography grew.
After years of honing my skills and taking photography workshops and courses, I had my first collective exhibition in 2012. By 2013, I held my first solo exhibition, using digital and film photography.
Between 2014 and 2018, I worked with private clients and local restaurants (in México), assisted a mentor, and participated in local exhibitions.
In 2019, I moved to Europe, where I focused on Product Design while refining my photography skills. Now, in 2024, I’m focusing my photography on Landscape and Urban Photography✨
